Jody's love for magic started over 40 years ago when, as a young boy, his uncle showed him a trick. After years of asking, he was eventually shown the secret. Then David Blaine appeared on television in the late 90s — and Jody found his love.
They say you don't find magic. Magic finds you.
From that point the hobby became an obsession. In 2010 Jody won the Forth Valley Magic Circle close-up competition and turned professional. He has continued to develop his act ever since — becoming one of Scotland's finest close-up comedy magicians.

Jody Greig is a professional close-up comedy magician based in Edinburgh. For over 15 years he has performed at weddings, corporate events, and private parties across Scotland and the UK — bringing friends, family, strangers, and colleagues together through moments of joy, wonder, and laughter. His performances are interactive, inclusive, and genuinely funny. Magic that happens right in the hands and minds of the people in the room — not on a stage at a distance, but inches away, completely inexplicable.
The Honest Cheat
Jody describes himself as an Honest Cheat. The comedy card routines, the mischief with money, the occasional (free!) hustle — all delivered with complete transparency. He is perfectly upfront about the fact that he is cheating. That openness is precisely what makes it so disarming.
